Membership Year 2017-2018

Membership costs 55.00 GB pounds sterling, and this is for membership of the Academy of Marketing for the membership year 2017-2018 which runs from 1 September 2017 to 31 August 2018.

Membership of the Academy of Marketing is run through the website. Members have their own username and password and can log in to the site to manage their contact details, membership and communication preferences, and access Member-only content. In addition, from after the Conference each year, Members may renew their membership online for the following membership year which begins 1 September.

AM Annual Conference Delegates: Please note that if you are a delegate at the annual Academy of Marketing Conference in July (in 2017 hosted by Hull University Business School), your membership for the following membership year (starting 1 September after the conference) is included in your conference fee. Your membership will be automatically set up for you.

Eligibility

Please read this carefully before applying for membership. To check your eligibility for membership click here. If you are in any doubt about your eligibility for membership, please do not hesitate to contact the Administrative office. The Executive Committee shall resolve questions concerning an applicant’s eligibility. (As part of the registration process you will be asked to provide information to confirm your eligibility for membership).

Payment

Payment for Membership can be made online by Credit/Debit card or PayPal account. Online payments are processed through the third-party provider, PayPal. During the registration process you will be offered the option to pay Offline or Online.

To pay by Credit/Debit Card or PayPal account, choose Online Payment. The Payment description will then say “Pay via your PayPal account”. You will be transferred to the payment provider PayPal. You do not need to be a member of PayPal to use this payment option – when you are passed through to pay, choose ‘Check Out as Guest’ if you wish to pay by Credit/Debit Card rather than with a PayPal Account.

The amount you will be charged is 55.00 pounds sterling and this is for membership of the Academy of Marketing for the membership year 2017-2018 which runs from 1 September 2017 to 31 August 2018. When you have completed the payment procedure you will be returned to the Academy of Marketing website. You will receive an email from PayPal to confirm your transaction, and you will receive a separate email from the Academy of Marketing confirming that your application has been received and is being processed.

If you do not wish to pay online you can choose “Pay Offline”. You will then be contacted to arrange offline invoicing and payment. Please note that offline payments should be by cheque/ bank draft made out in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) for the full amount of 55.00 GBP, including the full details (sort code/BIC and address) of the Bank the cheque is drawn on.
