All topics and methodological approaches within the broad field of marketing and consumer behaviour are welcome. Doctoral students at different stages of their research can apply for participation in the doctoral colloquium.

Students at an early stage of their doctoral studies should have a (tentative) proposal for the topic they want to study, the method they want to use, and their potential contribution. They are likely to benefit from suggestions on how to focus their work, relevant areas of literature to explore in more depth, and/or advice on methods and analysis.

Students at a later stage of their doctoral studies should have a good knowledge of the literature in their domain of study and clear research questions. They are likely to be in the process of data collection or have already finished this. They can benefit from the colloquium by subjecting the positioning of their research to a critical review, refining their data collection approach, and/or receiving suggestions for translating their work into papers that can be submitted to excellent journals.

Participants accepted to the colloquium will give a presentation of their work following which they will receive feedback and comments from academic staff and other PhD students. The colloquium will be held in a collaborative, open and friendly atmosphere. In respect to this philosophy, participants are required to attend the entire colloquium. All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Doctoral presentations at the colloquium will take place in parallel tracks based on the conceptual and/or methodological focus of the participants work alongside the stage of their doctoral work. In addition there will be faculty presentations designed to help students plan and manage their dissertation process.
