B2B Marketing Track: I think it is fair to say that I have rarely enjoyed an AM Conference as much as I did Liverpool this summer. Intellectually, organisationally and socially it was a great success and a tribute to efforts of the organisers. More specifically, it was extremely encouraging to note that a total of 20 submissions were received for the B2B track, with all but a couple ultimately deemed by the reviewers to be acceptable for the conference. The number of B2B presentations in Liverpool was thus three times greater than in the previous year. Indeed, the first session of the track proved so popular that it was literally ‘standing room only’! Andrew and I are very grateful for the enthusiastic participation of so many of you and for the commitment shown by our team of reviewers in turning around so many papers so quickly. It was also great to meet so many of you face-to-face, and to find a host of new names wanting to sign up for SIG membership. There were many good and interesting papers presented, particularly by Early Career Researchers, often with the support of their supervisors, which was nice to see. The prize for the best paper in the B2B track was won by Katy Mason for her study of ‘The Management Practices and Materials of Market-Makers’. |
